Zilina, May 15 (TASR) - A plaque commemorating 250 Jew prisoners who were forced to build the foundations for the MSK Zilina football club"s stadium in 1941-43 was unveiled at the stadium on Wednesday, TASR learnt on the same day. The initiator of the plaque is US professor Kevin Simpson of John Brown University. "Educating and getting that information to people is primarily important to me. It's necessary to remember the apathy and idleness of people, which in the end led to a catastrophe, as no one spoke up," said Simpson. Owner of the stadium Jozef Antosik likes Simpson's idea. "He addressed me, explained to me what he would like to do in Slovakia. During his studies of history he found out that the stadium was built in a time when people weren't so lucky as we're today. We're sportsmen and I'm of the opinion that football should connect people," stated Antosik. zel/mcs/am
