Kosice, April 26 (TASR) - The Slovak Rectors Conference (SRK) at its meeting on Friday in Kosice expressed disagreement with the transfer of EU funds from the Operational Programme Research and Innovation to another operational programme, with the rectors responding to the resolution of the Slovak Government from March, according to which around €102 million determined for the support of science and research should be transferred to road infrastructure, TASR learnt on the same day. "If we want to maintain the competitiveness of the Slovak research space in the European research space, it's essential that we get the money. We support Education Minister [Martina Lubyova (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee)] in her effort to keep these mechanisms in our sector, and we're ready to draw this money," SRK vice-president and Pavol Jozef Safarik University rector Pavol Sovak told TASR. am
