Bratislava, April 26 (TASR) - A technology festival IXPO started in Bratislava on Friday, with the new concept of a technological event for both professional and general public aiming to put Slovakia on the map of a digitally transforming Europe, TASR learnt on Friday. In addition to a show of technology from global leaders, it will also bring a strong representation of home developers and experts. Visitors can also talk to robot Pepper, or listen to how real cyborgs perceive the world. Vice-premier for Investments and Informatisation Richard Rasi also looked at the exhibits. "Slovakia is a country that is rapidly moving forward in technology and innovation, but an event, which would show it in its full beauty to the general public, was missing here. IXPO should be a platform that will help us better understand the changing world and at the same time attract the world to us," emphasises Matej Drlicka from Viva Events, an organiser of the event. Many technologies exhibited at the festival are on display for the first time in Slovakia. The National Educational Centre in co-operation with the Slovak National Museum presents the Slovakiana project - a digitised cultural heritage. The Office of the Vice-minister for Informatisation presents Slovakia's plans in the area of autonomous mobility and an electric car and electric motorcycles will be premiered here. am/mcs
