Bratislava, March 7 (TASR) - The Slovak Land Fund (SPF) is withdrawing from a rental contract with a company called Agro Porubka owned by former Smer-SD MP Lubica Roskova, SPF spokesman Martin Kormos told media on Thursday. Agro Porubka was allegedly involved in EU subsidy fraud. Reportedly, the company received farm subsidies for plots of land that it neither owns nor cultivates, including areas such as carparks and a village airport. It's said that the company obtained €40,000 from EU funds for 2017. A National Crime Agency (NAKA) investigator in December 2018 pressed charges against Roskova and two other people in regard to damaging the EU's interests in connection with the afore-mentioned subsidy fraud. Roskova has filed a complaint against the charge. Plots of land that are a subject of the rental contract with Agro Porubka that is being terminated are in SPF's administration. Their total area is almost 350 hectares and they are located in the districts of Sobrance and Michalovce (both Kosice region). This is another withdrawal from a rental contract by SPF to take place within a short period of time. In September 2018 the fund terminated the contract with a company I.P. Construct, owned by Patrik Suchta. According to the medialised information, Suchta served as "Roskova's stretched out hand". ko/mcs
