Bratislava, October 21 (TASR) - Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) has presented his five advisors, describing them as a "Council of the Wise", TASR learnt from the premier's social network profile on Sunday.
The group includes foreign policy advisor Peter Kmec, economic expert from the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) Vladimir Balaz, marketing expert Peter Littmann, entrepreneur Stefan Rosina and analyst Alena Sabelova,
The marketing expert in Pellegrini's team, Peter Littmann, is the general director of international consulting corporation Brandinsider and has been living abroad for over 50 years. He said that he wants to contribute towards improving the competitiveness of Slovak businesses.
The team also includes president of Matador holding Stefan Rosina, who has known the prime minister for a long time. His ambition is to speak about the state of industry and the development of the Slovak economy.
Analyst Alena Sabelova is also part of the 'Council of the Wise', dealing mainly with the health-care sector and education. "Topics such as an ageing population and incoming digitisation and robotisation will greatly affect lives in our countries," she said in a video on the premier's profile.
The economic expert in the council is Vladimir Balaz from SAV. "We can't really model ourselves in the future as a country that lives off cheap labour and low taxes. We'll have to rely much more on highly skilled jobs, innovation and research, because the wealth of developed countries comes from these things," said Balaz in the video.
The fifth member of the team is career diplomat Peter Kmec, who will deal with foreign policy. Previously, he was Slovak ambassador to the USA and Sweden.
