Bratislava, 8 November (TASR) - Slovak Bishops Conference (KBS) head Stanislav Zvolensky has expressed his deep sorrow at the tragic incident that took place on Saturday (7 November) in the city of Krakow in Poland, the KBS press office told TASR on Sunday, adding that in his prayers, he remembers the victims of the shooting, their families and all those injured and affected by this incident. "The news of the tragic shooting in the centre of Krakow has deeply moved me. I'm spiritually united with all those who have been painfully affected by this incident. My thoughts are particularly with the families of the deceased, who are experiencing immense grief at the loss of their loved ones, as well as with the injured, for whom I pray for a speedy recovery and the strength they need," said Zvolensky. The KBS chair calls on people to pray that hatred and violence may not prevail in human hearts, but rather love, understanding and respect for the dignity of every human being. "I include all those affected by this tragedy in my prayers and ask God to be close to them and to grant them comfort," added Zvolensky. At least six people were killed and several others injured following a shooting in Kraków's main square on Saturday. The perpetrator was shot by the police. The bodies of two women and one man were also found in the shooter's home. According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, they were members of the perpetrator's family.
