Students Organise 'Run for Freedom' to Mark 17 November

Bratislava, 3 November (TASR) - A student event called 'Run for Freedom' will take place on 17 November to mark the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy and International Students Day, its organisers have informed TASR. The runners will tackle a 10-kilometre route from Bratislava towards the Austrian border and back. The run will start in the morning. The event is open to the general public. In addition to the run itself, the organisers have announced an accompanying programme. Those participating in the event will express solidarity and support for the values ​​commemorated by 17 November, the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Run for Freedom has been organised by students from LEAF Academy, a secondary school in Bratislava. ko/df
