Bratislava, 2 November (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini is scheduled to travel to Prague on Tuesday (3 November) for a working visit to the Czech Republic, the President's Office's communications department told TASR on Monday, adding that the visit builds on the long-standing partnership between the two countries, which are linked by a shared history, cultural affinity and close cooperation within the European Union and NATO.
The meeting will combine political dialogue at the highest level with a cultural event. "At Prague's Municipal House, the head of state will meet Czech President Petr Pavel, and together they will attend a gala concert by the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra to mark the 25th anniversary of the Month of Czech-Slovak Cultural Mutuality, under the auspices of the presidents of both countries," stated the communications department.
According to the communications department, both presidents will deliver speeches at the concert. The concert will symbolically commemorate the shared cultural heritage and enduring friendly relations between Slovakia and the Czech Republic. It will also showcase Slovak musical art on the international stage.
