Police: Ten Cars Involved in Pile-up on R7 Expressway near Samorin

Bratislava, 26 October (TASR) - Ten vehicles reportedly collided in a pile-up on the R7 expressway near the town of Samorin (Trnava region) in the direction of Bratislava on Monday, Bratislava regional police announced on social media, adding that traffic is being diverted while all emergency services are currently attending at the scene. "For the purposes of documenting the traffic accident and ensuring safety, traffic is being diverted at the Samorin-Zapad exit, with drivers instructed to use road I/63 via Dunajska Luzna and Rovinka (both Bratislava region) in the direction of Bratislava," according to the police. Police urged drivers to exercise increased caution in the affected expressway section, follow instructions and, where possible, use alternative routes. "The exact causes and circumstances of the accident are being investigated," added the police. jrg
