Luka, 24 October (TASR) - Voting in the village of Luka in the district of Nove Mesto nad Vahom (Trencin region) will be extended until 8:10 p.m. on Saturday after voting began late due to the need to recount the ballot papers, TASR has learnt from Lubica Marcinova, secretary of the district electoral commission in Nove Mesto nad Vahom.
"The commission needed to recount all the ballot papers that it had received. I don't know why. As a result, voting started later there," explained Marcinova, adding that the district electoral commission hasn't recorded any major problems across the district, though.
In Trencin region as a whole, the combined local and regional elections are proceeding without any problems and no complications were reported in connection with ballot papers. Meanwhile, district electoral commissions have already visited several electoral wards, TASR has learnt from the secretaries of district electoral commissions across Trencin region.
