Election Moratorium Extended, Will Last until 8:30 p.m.

Bratislava/Breziny, 24 October (TASR) - The election moratorium for Slovakia's local and regional elections will be extended nationwide until 8:30 p.m. due to the delayed opening of a polling station in the village of Breziny in the district of Zvolen (Banska Bystrica region). The polling station in Breziny opened at 7:30 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. due to problems with election materials, which means that voters in that electoral ward may cast their ballots until 8:30 p.m. All other polling stations across Slovakia opened on time, at 7 a.m., and voting at these locations will take place until 8 p.m. jrg/df
