Court Remands Austrian Man in Custody for Assaulting Nurse at Kramare Hospital

Bratislava, 16 October (TASR) - Bratislava I Municipal Court court has remanded in preventive custody F. Sch. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons] for assaulting a nurse in the accident and emergency department at the hospital in Bratislava's borough of Kramare, TASR was told by the court's spokesman Pavol Adamciak on Friday. The court made its decision on the grounds that the 63-year-old Austrian might continue criminal activity. "The decision is not final, and the prosecutor has filed a complaint. The accused may file a complaint within the applicable deadline. The Bratislava Regional Court will rule on the matter once the case is delivered to it," explained Adamciak. Bratislava University Hospital announced on Thursday (15 October) that a drunk man physically assaulted a 23-year-old nurse in the accident and emergency department of its Kramare hospital on Tuesday (13 October). The nurse sustained facial injuries, scratches, bruising and swelling, as well as psychological harm. The police charged a 63-year-old Austrian man regarding the incident. jrg
