Police: 13-year-old Boy Came to School in Kosice Region with Air Pistol

Bidovce, 7 October (TASR) - A 13-year-old pupil came to the primary school in the village of Bidovce (Kosice region) on Monday (5 October) carrying an air pistol, spokesperson for Kosice Region Police Jana Illesova told TASR on Wednesday, adding that the weapon was partially damaged and unloaded. It was the Korzar daily that first broke the news. The spokeswoman added that no injuries occurred, no threats involving the weapon were confirmed, and the police are investigating the matter as an offence relating to weapons and ammunition. "Preventing unlawful behaviour and eliminating negative phenomena is a priority not only for police prevention officers but also for teaching staff, in cooperation with the Police Corps," said Illesova, adding that also in this case the police acted promptly and thoroughly investigated the situation. am/df
