Personnel Changes Carried Out at SVP, VV and Environmental Fund

Bratislava, 6 October (TASR) - Personnel changes took place in the management of organisations subordinate to the Environment Ministry on Tuesday, TASR was told by the ministry on the same day. Peter Molda has been dismissed from his post as general director of water-management construction company Vodohospodarska vystavba (VV), with director of the technical and safety supervision department Andrej Kasana appointed to head VV on an interim basis. There's also been a change in the management of the Slovak Water Management Company (SVP). Jozef Moravcik has been dismissed from his post as general director, and Miroslav Selecky, in charge of the SVP water management operations department, has been appointed to head the company on an interim basis. Marek Giba has been dismissed from his post as general director of the Environmental Fund, with Pavol Smondrk, who serves as head of the audit department at the fund, temporarily appointed to this post. Environment Ministry State Secretary Filip Kuffa has also ordered an audit and the suspension of selected decisions at the ministry. The Environment Ministry state secretary has ordered that no decisions should be taken in ongoing processes relating to the sale of movable and immovable property or in ongoing public procurement procedures. The same applies to personnel matters handled by the ministry's organisational units or by legal entities falling within its remit. This cannot be done without the prior written consent of the secretary-general of the ministry's service office. "The aim of the measure is to create scope for carrying out a legal and economic audit of ongoing processes. At the same time, it is to ensure that, while the audit is being carried out, no decisions are taken that could have a significant impact on the assets, financial management or functioning of the ministry and the organisations under its scope of authority," stated the ministry's communications department. am
