Flash Estimate: Harmonised Inflation Remains at 3.1 percent in September

Bratislava, 2 October (TASR) - Year-on-year (y-o-y) harmonised inflation in Slovakia amounted to 3.1 percent in September 2026, with the growth rate remaining unchanged from August, according to a flash estimate published by the Statistics Office on Friday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices of goods and services rose by 0.2 percent in September. In yearly terms, prices of industrial goods (excluding energy) increased by 2.7 percent, while energy prices rose by 13.8 percent and those of services by 4.2 percent. Conversely, prices of the aggregate category of food, alcohol and tobacco were 2.2 percent lower than a year ago. Month-on-month, prices of food, alcohol and tobacco fell by 0.9 percent. Meanwhile, prices of industrial goods (excluding energy) increased by 0.5 percent, energy prices went up by 1.3 percent and those of services rose by 0.4 percent. ko
