Bratislava, 16 September (TASR) - The construction of a new nuclear power facility in Jaslovske Bohunice (Trnava region) should become a strategic investment, with the government due to discuss a proposal to this effect at its session on Wednesday. "The main goal of the investment project is to ensure the long-term stability, security and sustainability of electricity supplies in Slovakia," stated the Economy Ministry in its explanatory report. The new nuclear power facility should have a capacity of up to 1,200 MW. The Interior Ministry submitted a draft amendment to the law on war graves for Wednesday's session, with the changes intended to improve the administration of graves and memorial sites and make the management of related matters more efficient. The government will also deal with a proposal concerning two military exercises involving the presence of foreign armed forces on Slovak territory, sponsored by the Defence Ministry. The cabinet is also expected to approve the deployment of Slovak troops to military exercises in Italy and the United States. ko
