FinMin: Take-up of EU Funds in Slovakia Rose to 21.44 percent in August

Bratislava, 14 September (TASR) - As of the end of August this year, Slovakia had utilised €2.74 billion of the total of €12.79 billion currently available from EU funds, the Finance Ministry reported on Monday, adding that this represented a drawing rate of 21.44 percent, which was 1.01 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month. In the 2021–2027 programme period, Slovakia is drawing funds from the European Union (EU) budget through one main 'Programme Slovakia', with the biggest allocation of €12.59 billion, as well as four smaller programmes, including Interreg SK-CZ (€85.32 million), Interreg SK-AT (€55.5 million), INTERACT IV (€45 million) and the Fisheries Programme 2021–2027 (€15.23 million). "Of the total allocation for Programme Slovakia, €2.692 billion had been drawn as of 31 August 2026, representing a drawing rate of 21.38 percent. Compared with the figure at the end of the previous month, the utilisation rate increased by 1.01 percentage points," reported the ministry. am/df
