Bratislava, 11 September (TASR) - Social-insurer Socialna poistovna (SP) is radically modernising its services, launching 36 new digital solutions for both the public and employers, SP director Michal Tariska stated on Friday, adding that a key pillar of the transformation is a shift towards proactive services, whereby Socialna poistovna will itself inform the insured of their entitlement to benefits and, in some cases, provide them automatically.

Bratislava, 11 September (TASR) - Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Slovakia Heather Rogers and Slovak Defence Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer-SD), joined by Indiana National Guard Commander General Lawrence Muenich, Bratislava region governor Juraj Droba, Bratislava Old Town mayor Matej Vagac and other diplomats and embassy staff, paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks that took place on 11 September, 2001 by observing a minute of silence and laying wreaths at a temporary memorial during a commemorative gathering in Bratislava on Friday, the US Embassy in Slovakia has informed TASR.

Levoca, 11 September (TASR) - The Investment, Regional Development and Informatisation Ministry is launching new calls for applications for regional grants for 30 priority districts in Slovakia, Minister Samuel Migal (Independent), who is standing for the post of Presov region head in the upcoming autumn elections, told a press conference in the town of Levoca (Presov region) on Friday, adding that €13.9 million is available for this year.
