Bratislava, 19 August (TASR) - President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic is scheduled to arrive next Tuesday (25 August) for a two-day official visit to Slovakia at the invitation of his Slovak counterpart Peter Pellegrini, TASR was told by the President's Office's communications department on Wednesday. High on the agenda will be the further development of Slovak-Montenegrin relations, the boosting of economic cooperation and support for Montenegro's European integration. The presidents will also discuss current developments in the Western Balkans, energy security in Europe and other international issues. "The visit follows on from the intensive political dialogue between the two countries and the official visit by Slovak head of state Peter Pellegrini to Montenegro in May of last year, which contributed to a further deepening of bilateral relations," stated the President's Office. Slovakia has long been a supporter of European Union enlargement and regards the integration of the Western Balkan countries as a significant contribution to the stability, security and prosperity of Europe. The talks will therefore also provide an opportunity to reaffirm Slovakia's continued support for Montenegro's European prospects. Economic cooperation will also be a key topic. The presidents will discuss ways of strengthening mutual trade, promoting investment and creating new opportunities for Slovak and Montenegrin businesses. am/df
