MP Martina Bajo Holeckova Becomes SaS Member

Bratislava, 17 August (TASR) - MP Martina Bajo Holeckova has officially become a member of the opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party, the liberals announced in a press released on Monday. "After a year and a half as a member of the SaS parliamentary caucus, she will now also form an active part of the party, where she will focus mainly on anti-corruption and social issues," reads the party's press release. "I view Martina as a team player, a visible face and a high-quality reinforcement for SaS," stated SaS leader Branislav Groehling. He believes that Bajo Holeckova will continue to be a strong voice of solidarity within the party. The MP described joining the party as a natural progression of her long-term cooperation with SaS, while also emphasising the trust she feels within the party. "I was given the chance to address social issues, deal with the problems faced by people in need, point to the high-handed behaviour of government politicians and actively fight corruption,” she said. She also announced that, in the upcoming period, she would play an active role in preparing the party's programme and measures. `Bajo Holeckova, a former head of the KDH caucus and an independent MP since September 2024, joined the SaS caucus in January 2025. ko
