Comenius University Climbs NTU Rankings to 838th Place

Bratislava, 15 August (TASR) - In the latest NTU Rankings published at the end of July to evaluate the top universities for 2026, Comenius University (UK) in Bratislava was ranked 838th, compared to its last year's 965th place, and it remains the only ranked university in Slovakia, TASR learnt from the website of Slovakia's largest university earlier this week. This year, the NTU Rankings offer an overall evaluation of 1,243 top universities, as well as rankings for six scientific fields and 27 specific subjects. Harvard University and Stanford University were chosen as the top-ranked universities in the world. "Comenius University was placed in shared 551st–600th place in the field of medicine and natural sciences, and ranked 351st–400th in the subject of physics," according to the university's website. Published by the National Taiwan University (NTU) since 2007, the NTU Rankings differ from other well-known global rankings due to an exclusive focus on performance in science and research.
