Bratislava/Nitra, 7 August (TASR) - Opposition party KDH calls on police to swiftly investigate an attack on foreign nationals in Nitra, and also requests clear information on the measures the Police Corps is taking to prevent similar incidents from recurring, the party's press department told TASR on Friday. "We unequivocally condemn all such attacks. Slovakia must be a country where people feel safe regardless of where they come from," KDH chair Milan Majersky declared. A group of masked men allegedly attacked young people from abroad in Nitra. One of the Indian victims was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery. The incident is reported to have taken place during the night of Friday 31 July to Saturday 1 August. The Nitra-West district police department has registered the case as a misdemeanour against civil coexistence. mf
