FPU: Five Candidates Apply for Arts Fund Director Post

Bratislava, 5 August (TASR) - Five candidates have applied for the post of director of the Arts Support Fund (FPU), the fund's acting director, Frantisek Kornaj, told TASR on Wednesday. "The fund received five sealed envelopes marked 'Application for the Post of FPU Director' within the specified deadline," said Kornaj. The FPU Council announced the selection procedure on 24 June, with applications accepted until 31 July. The FPU Council will also set the date for a public hearing of the candidates. The matter is expected to be discussed at its next meeting on 12 August, when the council will also elect a new chair. Following the resignation of former chair Matus Olha, the council is being led on an interim basis by vice-chair Lubomir Klestinec. mf/df
