Nitra, 31 July (TASR) - Two men charged as part of the police operation codenamed 'Nemesis' have been remanded in custody by Nitra District Court, acting spokesperson for Nitra Regional Court Zuzana Krncanova Buranska stated on Friday, adding that both defendants have lodged an appeal against this ruling, which will be heard by Nitra Regional Court.

Bratislava, 31 July (TASR) - The decision by the Tourism and Sport Ministry to temporarily suspend funding for the Slovak Football Association (SFZ) does not harm its management, but rather football clubs, regional associations, coaches, national teams and tens of thousands of children and young athletes across Slovakia, SFZ stated in response to the decision, adding that it is convinced that the ministry's decision is unlawful, factually unfounded and disproportionate.

Bratislava, 31 July (TASR) - According to Eurostat's preliminary estimate, inflation in Slovakia fell to 3 percent in July, its lowest level in two years, slowing down by a greater extent than anticipated in the Slovak central bank's (NBS) summer forecast, driven mainly by a continuing fall in food prices, stated NBS analyst Branislav Karmazin on Friday when commenting on the current trend in inflation measured using the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP).
