Bratislava, 28 July (TASR) - Slovakia's presentation at Expo 2027 in Belgrade is intended to strengthen the country's international reputation, open up new opportunities for Slovak companies and contribute to the development of business partnerships, Slovakia Travel spokesperson Zuzana Eliasova has informed TASR.
Slovakia Travel plans to cooperate on the project with the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), with which it signed a memorandum on Monday (27 July).
"Slovakia wants to present itself at Expo 2027 as a united and confident country, with the ambition of attracting not only visitors, but also investors, entrepreneurs and the professional public. We'll jointly showcase Slovakia as a country that combines innovation, talent and entrepreneurship, while also offering exceptional tourism experiences," said Lukas Parizek, commissioner general for Slovakia's participation at Expo 2027 Belgrade.
SARIO general director Egon Zorad stressed that world exhibitions have long ceased to be merely a platform for promoting a country from a tourism perspective. "It's a comprehensive platform via which the state can present its investment and business environment, innovation potential, competitiveness and the country's overall image in the international context," he said.
Parizek also held talks on the exhibition with Economy Ministry State Secretary Vladimir Simonak on Monday. They discussed opportunities for developing economic cooperation between Serbia and Slovakia, as well as the involvement of the business sector.
