Huncovce: Search for Three-year-old Boy Continues

Huncovce, 28 July (TASR) - The search for a three-year-old boy who went missing in a maize field near the village of Huncovce in Kezmarok district (Presov region) continued on Tuesday. The neighbouring village of Velka Lomnica has also asked its residents for help, urging them via mass text messages to check their gardens, sheds and the buildings near their homes, as the missing boy could be hiding there. The search for the child has been underway since Monday (27 July). The police have confirmed that the search for the boy continued throughout the night, but he hasn't yet been found despite maximum efforts. The search operation therefore continued on Tuesday. "The search continues to involve police officers, who are also using a drone in the search, firefighters, the Interior Ministry's Aviation Unit with a helicopter equipped with thermal imaging, Search Team East, as well as Canislong Poprad volunteer canine team. We're doing our utmost to find the boy as soon as possible," the Presov Region Police Directorate reported on social media. ko/df
