Four People Injured in Propane-butane Gas Cylinder Explosion in Bratislava

Bratislava, 23 July (TASR) - A propane-butane gas cylinder exploded at one of the market stalls on Mileticova Street in Bratislava on Thursday as a result of improper handling. Four people suffered burns and were treated by emergency medical team. There is currently no danger at the scene, Bratislava region police spokesperson Silvia Simkova and Firefighter and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) Bratislava region spokesman Stefan Koci have informed TASR. "When the firefighters arrived at the scene, open flames were no longer visible," said Koci. The firefighters carried out precautionary fire safety measures, secured all the propane-butane cylinders and gradually removed them to an open space. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The police are also dealing with the incident. ko/df
