Fin Ministry: Slovakia Draws €2.45 Bn in EU Funds, Reaching 19% of Allocation

Bratislava, 8 July (TASR) - Slovakia had drawn €2.45 billion from European Union funds allocated for the 2021-2027 programming period by the end of June this year, representing 19.14 percent of the total allocation, which amounts to a month-on-month absorption increase by 0.91 percentage points, the Finance Ministry reported on Wednesday.
Slovakia has been allocated a total of €12.79 billion in EU funding for the current programming period. The funds are being implemented through the main Slovakia Programme, with an allocation of €12.59 billion, and four smaller programmes: Interreg SK-CZ, Interreg SK-AT, INTERACT IV and the Fisheries Programme 2021-2027.
As of 30 June 2026, €2.404 billion was drawn under the Slovakia Programme, equivalent to 19.09 percent of its total allocation. This marked an increase of 0.88 percentage points compared with the end of the previous month, the ministry said.
Under the Interreg SK-CZ programme, which has a total allocation of €85.32 million, €21.56 million had been drawn by the end of June, representing 25.27 percent of the available funding. This programme recorded the largest month-on-month increase in absorption, rising by 5.11 percentage points.
The Interreg SK-AT programme, with a total allocation of €55.5 million, had drawn €5.6 million by the end of June, equivalent to 10.08 percent of the available funding. This represented a month-on-month increase of 2.28 percentage points.
Under the INTERACT IV programme, which has a total allocation of €45 million, national-level absorption reached €18.18 million, or 40.41 percent, as of 30 June 2026. This was an increase of 1.74 percentage points compared with the previous month, the ministry added.
Slovakia has been allocated €15.23 million by the European Commission for the Fisheries Programme 2021-2027. No funds had been drawn under the programme by the end of the first half of this year.
