Bratislava, 4 July (TASR) - Low-cost airline Wizz Air will expand its portfolio of regular flights from Bratislava to include three new destinations - Agadir in Morocco, Hurghada in Egypt and the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku - as of October 2026, the airline confirmed for TASR earlier this week.
The airline currently operates flights from Slovakia to 35 destinations in 15 countries.
"Wizz Air plans to launch its first flights from Bratislava to the new destinations on 25 October, with services to all three to be available to passengers twice a week," said the airline. It will fly to Agadir year-round on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and to Hurghada on Mondays and Fridays.
"Concerning Baku, the flight schedule will differ depending on the seasons. During the winter months, flights will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In the summer, they will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays," explained Wizz Air.
Agadir, located on the Atlantic coast, is known for its sandy beaches and seafront promenade. Among its attractions are the Souk El Had market and the viewpoint at the Agadir Oufella Kasbah. The nearby town of Taghazout is famous for surfing.
Hurghada is one of the most popular resorts on the Red Sea, known for its stable year-round weather, wide range of hotels and excellent opportunities for snorkeling and diving. In addition to its beaches, it offers trips to the Sahara Desert, quad biking, visits to Bedouin camps, and evening entertainment at the marina and in the historic El Dahar district.
Baku combines the UNESCO-listed historic Old City of Icherisheher with modern architecture, a promenade along the Caspian Sea, and a culture shaped by the Silk Road, Persia, the Caucasus and the post-Soviet era.
