Bratislava, 28 June (TASR) - Police have recorded eight fatalities in lakes since Friday (26 June), with the bodies of two people found without signs of life on Sunday — one case occurred at Dobšinska Masa (Kosice region), and the other at Lake Drazdiak in Bratislava, TASR learnt from the police social media. "In some cases, water police officers were also called in during the weekend to assist in searches for missing persons," reads the text. Police have urged the public to exercise caution and responsibility when visiting bodies of water. "Do not overestimate your stamina and abilities, do not consume excessive amounts of alcohol, wet your body first before swimming, as an overheated body may react poorly to sudden temperature changes, do not overestimate your swimming skills, and watch out for one another," the police emphasised. mf
