Police Fail to Find Armed Man Allegedly Seen Near Primary School in Bratislava

Bratislava, 26 June (TASR) - Police have failed to confirm the credibility of a report concerning an armed man who was allegedly seen by pupils near a primary school on Pankuchova Street in Bratislava's borough of Petrzalka on Thursday (25 June).
The police have launched a criminal prosecution, with police officers continuing to evaluate camera footage.
"Since the actions taken didn't lead to locating a person matching the description, and no threat was identified to pupils or staff of the school in question, or to residents, and no injuries were reported, the search operation was terminated in the evening," police announced on social media on Friday.
Police have launched a criminal investigation into the offence of disorderly conduct. They have called on people who may have any information that could help clarify the case to contact them by phone via the emergency line, via a private message on social media, or in person at any police station.
Police said they received a description of the suspect from pupils of the school on Thursday. Patrols searched the woodland area located between Haanova, Starohajska and Mamatejova Streets and another wood between Dolnozemská Cesta, and the Danube River, as well as on several streets in the immediate and wider vicinity of the school.
