Bratislava, 25 June (TASR) - The foreign ministers of Slovakia and Ukraine held a telephone conversation on Thursday to discuss the organisation of planned talks at both the intergovernmental and bilateral levels, ministry's communications department told TASR on Thursday, adding that they confirmed that the next meeting of the two governments will take place in the Ukrainian city of Lviv.
"I received a phone call from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha today. We're now looking forward to the fourth joint meeting between the Slovak government and the Ukrainian government, where we'll have the opportunity to openly discuss all issues that have arisen in recent months," said Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD).
At Thursday's Ukraine Recovery Conference in the Polish city of Gdansk, Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) and his Ukrainian counterpart Yulia Svyrydenko agreed that the meeting would take place in Lviv. "Ukrainian chief diplomat also confirmed to me during our conversation that President Zelenskyy is interested in visiting Bratislava," stated Blanar, adding that all that remains is for both sides to finalise the dates.
Sybiha once again expressed his gratitude for Slovakia's humanitarian aid to a medical facility in the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia in the form of medical equipment, which Blanar delivered during his recent trip to Ukraine. The equipment is already being used to treat patients.
