VV Continues Preparations for Malinec Pumped Storage Power Plant Project

Bratislava, 22 June (TASR) - State-run water-management construction company Vodohospodarska vystavba (VV) is continuing to prepare the Malinec-Latky pumped storage power plant project, the office of the VV director told TASR on Monday, adding that at this stage, VV will enter into agreements on the temporary use of land with the owners of the affected properties, which are intended to facilitate the conduct of geological surveys. "Geological surveys are a standard and essential part of preparing such a large-scale project. In the near future, written offers to conclude agreements regarding the scope, method, and duration of the geological work will be delivered to the owners of the affected properties. In accordance with the provisions of the Geological Work Act, the agreements will concern the granting of a temporary right to use the land to the extent necessary for conducting geological drilling and other specialised surveys," they explained, noting that the current process is not related to the purchase of land or the transfer of ownership rights. am/mcs
