Bratislava, 16 June (TASR) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Amazing Slovakia exhibition during a gala dinner attended by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini and House chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) at the historic National Council building in Bratislava.
Modi was accompanied by the exhibition's creator, photographer Filip Kulisev.
"The exhibition of 21 large-format photographs showcasing Slovakia's most beautiful natural landscapes and historic landmarks attracted Prime Minister Modi's keen interest, which I greatly appreciate. He was also very impressed by the concept of the EARTH exhibition in India," Slovak photographer and traveller Filip Kulisev said, commenting on the meeting.
"At the same time, he asked whether I could photograph and film his hometown of Vadnagar in the state of Gujarat as part of the project. India fascinates me because of its diverse nature. I am planning my first visit to the country at the end of this year," Kulisev added.
Kulisev also confirmed to TASR that, following the exhibition tour, he and Rasi presented Modi with a copy of the book EARTH, which features a foreword by Prince Albert II of Monaco. In the publication, Kulisev highlights the diversity and appeal of the Earth's four main climate zones. He also produced a documentary film of the same name, featuring striking aerial images of numerous locations around the world.
Kulisev, who holds the titles Master QEP and FBIPP, is regarded as one of the world's leading nature and landscape photographers. Over two decades, he has staged more than 200 solo exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad. His work has been exhibited in Sydney, Auckland, Atlanta, Washington, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Monaco, Rome, Moscow, Malta, Paris, Ottawa, Honolulu, the European Parliament in Brussels, the United Nations headquarters in New York and Geneva, Expo 2020 Dubai, Expo 2025 Osaka, and at the North Pole. He has received several international awards for his work.
