ARDAL: Slovakia Borrows €649 million in Government Bond Auction in June

Bratislava, 15 June (TASR) - Slovakia sold government bonds totalling €649 million in its regular monthly auction in June, with the four different bonds maturing between 2029-2047, and the average annual interest rates ranging between 2.85 percent and 4.26 percent, the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL) reported on Monday, adding that total demand from investors reached €1.068 billion.
Slovakia obtained the highest sum (€232 million) from a sale of bonds with a maturity date in 2033. The average accepted yield on maturity stood at 3.29 percent p.a.
Another auction of bonds maturing in 2037 brought in an additional €184 million, with the average accepted yield amounting to 3.79 percent p.a.
Bonds with the longest maturity date, in 2047, accepted at the highest average yield of 4.26 percent, brought €125 million into state coffers.
ARDAL sold the smallest volume of bonds (€108 million) with the shortest maturity date, in 2029, at the lowest average accepted yield of 2.85 percent.
In May, Slovakia sold government bonds worth €569 million with the average yield ranging between 3.26 percent p.a. and 4.45 percent p.a., while total demand from investors reached €1.121 billion.
ARDAL plans to issue new government bonds worth €10 billion this year.
