Police Conducting Operation Doctor Targeting Drug-related Crime

Bratislava/Nitra, 15 June (TASR) - Members of the Police Corps Presidium's National Anti-Drug Unit are currently carrying out an operation in Bratislava and Nitra regions codenamed 'Doctor', targeting drugs-related crime, the Police Corps Presidium's communications and prevention department has informed TASR. It specified that the operation is focused on documenting and clarifying the offence of the illegal production and trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances. "We're currently carrying out invasive actions, such as house searches and searches of other premises and land, and the detention of suspects. It's impossible to provide any further details at the moment with regards to the procedural steps that are being taken," said the police. ko/df
