Presidential Office Completes Karacsonyi Palace Renovation

Bratislava, 8 June (TASR) - The President's Officed has successfully completed the renovation of Karacsonyi Palace on Stefanikova Street in Bratislava, which it carried out jointly with the Government Office as co-administrators of the national cultural monument, TASR learnt from the Presidential Office's press department on Friday.
The President's Office and the Government Office agreed on a joint approach to the renovation and financing of the building. The restoration of the national cultural monument was financed primarily through funds from Slovakia's Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Projects financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan must strictly comply with rules set by the European Commission and primarily include achieving demonstrable energy savings.
"The President's Office invested €3.4 million in the renovation of the section of the building under its administration, of which €2.3 million was financed from Slovakia's Recovery and Resilience Plan," the press department said.
Karacsonyi Palace serves as the official seat of the President's Office. The building houses the institution's main administrative facilities, including the public registry office, and is home to employees providing support functions for the exercise of the head of state's duties.
