Bratislava, 6 June (TASR) - Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) on Saturday left for Normandy, France, where he will honour the heroism and victims of World War II on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the Allied landings, the Government Office has informed TASR.
Fico is also scheduled to lay wreaths at the monument to fallen soldiers.
"As part of his visit to Normandy, Premier Fico will meet the Mayor of Dunkirk, Patrice Vergriete, whom he will thank for his long-term care of the monument to Czechoslovak soldiers," said the Government Office.
