Metsola to Visit Slovakia and Meet Gov't Officials and Volkswagen Executives

Bratislava/Strasbourg/Brussels, 5 June (TASR) - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola is scheduled to arrive in Slovakia on Friday, 12 June to meet the three most senior constitutional officials, hold discussions with students and visit the Volkswagen Slovakia car plant, the European Parliament's Office in Slovakia announced on Friday. Next Friday in Bratislava, Metsola is due to meet Parliamentary Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) and subsequently Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD). In the afternoon, she'll hold talks with President Peter Pellegrini. On Friday afternoon, she'll also participate in a discussion with secondary school and university students from various parts of Slovakia. At the end of her visit, she'll visit the Volkswagen Slovakia production plant in Bratislava, where she'll discuss measures to support the automotive industry in Europe with the company management. am/df
