PM Fico Departed for Montenegro to Attend EU-Western Balkans Summit on Friday

Bratislava, 5 June (TASR) - Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) departed for Montenegro on Friday morning to attend a European Union (EU) - Western Balkans summit focusing on the shared prosperity and stability of the EU and the Western Balkans, TASR reported on the same day. In the Montenegrin city of Tivat the leaders will deal with EU enlargement and the progress made in the gradual integration of the Western Balkan countries into the EU. They'll also discuss intensifying cooperation in the areas of foreign, security and defence policy. The previous summit was held in Brussels in December 2025. jrg
