Slovak Citizen Dies in Greece, Foreign Ministry Confirms

Bratislava, 3 June (TASR) - The Foreign and European Affairs Ministry has recorded the death of a Slovak citizen in Greece, the ministry's press department confirmed to TASR on Wednesday. The case was reported by the Topky.sk news website, which stated that the Slovak tourist reportedly died of cardiac arrest while hiking. "The Foreign and European Affairs Ministry is informed about the death of a Slovak citizen in Greece. Through the Slovak Embassy in Athens, we are in contact with the relevant Greek authorities as well as the bereaved family, to whom we are providing consular assistance. However, due to personal data protection regulations, it is not possible to provide further information," the ministry told TASR. mf
