Bratislava, 19 May (TASR) - The anti-corruption unit of the Police Corps' Office for Combating Organised Crime (UBOK) has been conducting an operation codenamed Venator (Hunter) at multiple locations across Slovakia since early on Tuesday morning, Police Corps Presidium spokesperson Lea Vilhanova has informed TASR.
According to Vilhanova, the operation is related to suspicions of corruption-related crime, including in connection with the administration of one of Slovakia's national parks.
"As part of the operation, several procedural actions, including house searches, are currently underway. As individuals are still being detained and property is being seized, it is impossible to provide more details at the moment," added Vilhanova.
