Bratislava, 19 May (TASR) - Concerning the preparation of pro-growth measures, the Labour Ministry won't agree with any proposals by employers that would affect employees, said Labour Minister Erik Tomas (Voce-SD) on Tuesday following his talks with Economy Minister Denisa Sakova (Voice-SD) on the list of measures that would concern the labour sector.
"We won't agree to adjustments to minimum wage levels or with the introduction of multiple minimum wage levels. We won't agree to reducing lunch breaks to 15 minutes, either," said Tomas. According to him, the ministry will also oppose extending trial periods from three to six months and scrapping recreation or other vouchers.
"When any pro-growth measures, or the first part of the package, appear, I'd like to discuss them within the tripartite before Parliament starts the debate on them," said the minister, who noted that his ministry hasn't proposed any pro-growth measures to be included in the package.
