Police: Major Anti-drug Raid Underway in Several Locations across Slovakia

Bratislava, 6 May (TASR) - A large-scale anti-drug raid is taking place in several locations of Slovakia on Wednesday morning, the police have reported on social media, adding that the National Anti-Drug Unit is carrying out an operation codenamed 'Camp'. Police officers are conducting house searches across Slovakia, as well as at the prison in Kosice-Saca. Among those detained is also a member of the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps (ZVJS). "The case is being investigated as the crime of the unlawful production of and trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances," said the police, adding that in this case they are also dealing with the crime of unlawful handling of substances with anabolic and other hormonal effects and the offense of misuse of a public official's power.
