Bratislava, 4 May (TASR) - We respectfully commemorate Milan Rastislav Stefanik, a scientist, diplomat, soldier and statesman who dedicated his life to the freedom and future of our nation, posted Parliamentary Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) on social media on Monday on the occasion of the 107th anniversary of Stefanik's death. "His courage, vision and service to his country, combined with a strong faith in Slovakia, remain a lasting legacy for all of us and a valuable inspiration for young people and future generations. Honour to his memory," added Rasi. Stefanik, one of co-founders of Czechoslovakia in 1918 and its first and last minister of war, was killed with his entire crew when his Caproni Ca.33 biplane crashed near Ivanka pri Dunaji (Bratislava region) on 4 May 1919. am/df
