Gov't Holds Session in Liskova, Will Address Situation in Northern Areas

Bratislava/Liskova, 29 April (TASR) - The government will hold an away-from-home session in the village of Liskova in Ruzomberok district (Zilina region) on Wednesday.
The social-economic situation and selected problems of the districts of Martin, Liptovsky Mikulas, Ruzomberok and Turcianske Teplice will be high on the agenda of the session, along with proposals for improvements in the social and economic areas. The cabinet should also deal with changes to the recovery plan.
The agenda of the session includes several informative materials as well. In one of them, the Environment Ministry reports on the state of monitoring geological environmental factors. Among other things, the document states that there were five earthquakes in Slovakia in 2025, with four of them having their epicentre on the Slovak territory.
The ministers will also deal with information on the assessment of the potential use of the capacities of the planned General Milan Rastislav Stefanik National University Hospital in Bratislava's borough of Vajnory for the needs of teaching, science and research. They will also discuss a report on the operation of the Health-care Supervisory Office in 2025.
Supreme Audit Office chairman Lubomir Andrassy submitted a report on the results of an audit to the session. According to the report, the implementation of selected investment projects in the field of railway transport in Slovakia was marked by significant delays, which had a direct impact on the fulfillment of milestones and targets and the drawing of money from the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic.
