Bratislava, 23 April (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini welcomes Ukraine's decision to resume oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline to Slovakia and Hungary, the President Office's communications department has told TASR in connection with the resumption of oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline on Thursday. "In today's geopolitical situation, in which energy prices are rising rapidly due to military conflicts and supplies are becoming increasingly scarce, oil from the Druzhba pipeline will help to stabilise fuel prices and expand the options for supplying refineries in both countries," added the President's Office. A total of 13,500 tonnes of oil are expected to arrive in Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline on Thursday, with the schedule projecting a total of 119,000 tonnes to be transported by the end of April by state-run joint-stock company Transpetrol primarily to the Slovnaft refinery, Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) told a press conference on Thursday. ko/df
