Parliament Extends Sittings, Adds Mondays to Schedule

Bratislava, 21 April (TASR) - Legislators will sit longer during the current session, with daily proceedings extended from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., while, at the proposal of the coalition parliamentary caucuses, MPs also agreed to hold sessions on two Mondays, 27 April and 4 May, with the motions presented in the chamber by House Chair Richard Rasi (Smer-SD).
MPs also agreed that there will be no voting at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, with the next vote scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 22 April.
From Tuesday onwards, Parliament will be in session until 8 p.m., while the lunch breaks have been shortened to run from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. On Fridays, sittings will continue until 4 p.m. without voting. On Mondays, MPs will meet from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., also without voting.
