FinMin: Diesel Price for Foreign Drivers Down to €1.905 per Litre as of Friday

Bratislava, 16 April (TASR) - The special price of diesel that applies to foreign drivers will be decreased to €1.905 per litre as of midnight on Friday (17 April), according to an amended decree of the Finance Ministry that was published on the slov-lex.sk website on Thursday.
Over the past week, the regulated price for vehicles registered abroad has been €2.003 per litre.
The government on Wednesday (15 April) approved an amendment to the regulation on measures to limit diesel consumption during the state of emergency. As of Friday, the €400 limit for refuelling diesel into car tanks will no longer apply. However, a limit of 10 litres when filling diesel into portable containers and different fuel prices for domestic and foreign cars, remain in force for 30 more days.
Restrictions on diesel refuelling and dual fuel prices for domestic and foreign drivers were approved by the government on 18 March. The European Commission (EC) shortly afterwards described them as a breach of EU law. The European Commission (EC) shortly afterwards labelled them a violation of EU law.
