MPs Start Session by Observing Minute of Silence for Late Ex-MP Ladislav Lysak

Bratislava, 14 April (TASR) - At the beginning of the April House session on Tuesday, MPs observed a minute of silence to commemorate former MP Ladislav Lysak, who died at the age of 92 on Sunday (11 April).
MP Dusan Jarjabek (Smer-SD) recalled Lysak's life story for MPs at the session.
Lysak served as an MP between 1994 and 1998, running for parliament as a candidate for the then coalition of the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) and the Slovak Farmers Party (RSS). He was also a diplomat, economist and artist, and served as an ambassador to India. He founded and led the state Institute for Economics and Industrial Management in Bratislava.
